Speaker: Dr. Ibrahim Turhan (Deputy Governor of the Turkish Central Bank)

Dr. M. İbrahim Turhan, graduated from Lycée de Galatasaray İstanbul. He received his BA degree from Bogazici University, his MA degree in International Banking in 1995, and his Ph.D. degree from the same university in 2001. He taught at various universities including Marmara, Bilgi, and Yeditepe Universities. He worked as the head of the International Trade Department and the Banking and Insurance Management Department at Yeditepe University. Dr. Turhan is widely published on financial economics, macroeconomics, and political economy. He also served as Managing Editor and Editor in Chief in sectoral journals published on banking, finance and finance technologies. On May 8th 2008 Turhan was appointed deputy governor of the Turkish Central Bank.
